International Day for Biological Diversity is observed annually on May 22nd. This universal celebration marks the adoption of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) on May 22, 1992. This year's theme for International Day for Biological Diversity is "Be Part of the Plan."

In celebration of this year's International Day for Biological Diversity, PT ABM Investama Tbk (ABMM) conducted a mangrove planting initiative at the Muara Angke Nature Reserve in North Jakarta. The event involved participation from the company and its four subsidiaries: PT Cipta Kridatama (CK), PT Cipta Krida Bahari (CKB Logistics), PT Prima Wiguna Parama (PWP), and PT Sanggar Sarana Baja (SSB).

This activity is part of ABM Group's ongoing synergy program to enrich mangrove vegetation, following previous efforts by SSB on a 1.2-hectare mangrove area owned by the Balikpapan City government. Additionally, CKB Logistics has planted and maintained 6,000 mangrove seedlings in vegetation areas owned by the East Java Province. These initiatives demonstrate ABM Group's commitment to assisting the government in environmental conservation efforts.

The mangrove planting initiative involved 100 volunteers from ABM Group's employees, planting a total of 600 mangrove seedlings. ABM Group provides each employee with 1 Volunteer Day per year, and this month's activity focused on tree planting aims to enhance biodiversity conservation, mitigate impacts from waves and extreme weather, and protect coastlines from erosion.

"As a company guided by social and environmental aspects, ABM Group continuously contributes to environmental sustainability for the common good. We are committed to advancing civilization through three aspects: environmental conservation, community contribution, and economic growth," said Achmad Ananda Djajanegara, President Director of PT ABM Investama Tbk (ABMM), after participating in the mangrove planting at Muara Angke, North Jakarta, on Thursday, May 23, 2024.

Thanks to its efforts in environmental conservation, ABM Group, listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) since 2011, has obtained the ISO 14001:2015 certification (Environmental Management System). ABM Group consistently and collaboratively maintains ecological footprints to create positive impacts in preserving the Earth for future generations.
